On this episode of the Preachit podcast is the delightful Kara Martin. Kara has a wonderfully broad background, even in TV, which has shaped her as an author, lecturer, speaker, mentor, and coach. However, she is best known for her work on “workship,” two of her books being nominated for Australian book of the year. This is part 1 of a 2-part episode and the gist of both episodes is on how to preach for the whole of life. What does that mean? In short, preaching should address the kind of real-life everyday situations that we all face, and yet so often sermons can tend to ‘spiritualise’ things so much that we are left either feeling ill-equipped for everyday life real world situations, or perhaps left feeling that God doesn’t care about what I do during the week doing.
