After choosing sobriety in 1998, Aaron dedicated himself to understanding patterns and habits, leading to profound personal and professional success. His work began in 2000 with a martial arts school that evolved into a multifaceted support program for struggling youth, culminating in the founding of Fire Mountain Residential Treatment Center, one of the most successful adolescent treatment centers in the US.
Following the center’s closure in 2021, Aaron shifted his focus to empowering parents, educators, and martial arts instructors to support at-risk youth. His Parenting Master Class, Beyond Risk and Back, won a Telly Award in 2021, and his Safe-Dojo initiative earned him a place in the Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
A prolific author, Aaron has written several books on personal growth, parenting, and transformation, including The Four Prime Archetypes and Parenting Teens That Struggle With Video Games. He also hosts the top-ranked podcast Beyond Risk and Back, offering expert insights and real-life stories to guide parents through the challenges of raising struggling teens.
