Description

As 3x cancer survivor Dr. Gretchen Holmes speaks on survivorship, leading a healthy and robust life, and transformational behaviour change. Having lost 110 pounds, she is excited to talk about how to achieve health-related goals and turn life's challenges into opportunities.

As an experienced researcher, Gretchen has published in top journals including Health Communication, Psycho-Oncology, and Injury Epidemiology. She has co-authored "The Patient Experience" in a recent Health Communication textbook, taught Behaviour Change Theory at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and has served as a national-level patient advocate for the National Cancer Institute since 2002.

Gretchen also serves on the editorial board for the Journal of Patient Experience. In 2007 she was awarded the “Spotlight on Female Scholars” from James Madison University and in 2014 was named one of 14 National Rural Health Association Fellows in health policy.Today Gretchen is back to talk about her book "The Work In Between"!
