Patty Born, PMHNP-BC, RN, LMT, CEIM, is a dedicated Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Licensed Massage Therapist, and Master Life Coach with a powerful story of resilience, purpose, and healing. A two-time suicide survivor and the mother of four, she carries the unimaginable weight of loss, having lost her 19-year-old son and ex-husband to suicide. Rather than let grief silence her, she has become a stigma slasher - fighting to change the conversation around mental health, trauma, and suicide.
With a deep commitment to serving the underserved, she currently works in a correctional facility, providing compassionate psychiatric care to incarcerated men, many of whom are on suicide watch. Her lived experience gives her a unique, empathetic lens through which she connects with those society often forgets.
She speaks openly and lovingly about her late son, sharing his story to honour his life and humanise the struggles so many face in silence. Now stepping into the world of public speaking, she brings raw honesty, professional expertise, and emotional depth to every stage - raising awareness, breaking stigma, and helping others find hope even in the darkest moments.
