Susan has been a longstanding Board member of Interchange Illawarra (a social support service for families of people with disabilities), culminating in her appointment as Chairperson in 2012.
She has a varied employment history and had no idea that the skills gained would prepare her for the greatest and most rewarding challenge to date - becoming the parent of a child with severe disabilities.
Mother of 2, Gracie, who passed away in 2018 aged 13, and Sophie, aged 14.
This is a FIRST: I so appreciate to be speaking with Susan today and then having the honour to also interview her daughter Sophie next week!
