Description

Welcome to DEATH BY ADAPTATION, a bi-weekly book club where we choose one classic book and compare and contrast it against its cinematic adaptations.

In this episode, we discuss the acclaimed neo-western NO COUNTRY FOR OLD MEN by Cormac McCarthy, and the 2007 Academy Award-winning adaptation directed by the Coen Brothers. We talk about the beauty of McCarthy's simple syntax, the subversion of western tropes, and the characters' choices trump fate and destiny.

Hosts: Nicolò Grasso & Ewan Gleadow
