A serious fire in the Castlerea Town area last weekend saw a house destroyed and an 83 year old woman hospitalized. It brings into focus one again the closure of Castlerea Fire Station in 2017.
Local Independent Councillor Tony Waldron had told the Good Morning Roscommon programme that the station needs to be re-opened immediately.
