Description

Autism Assistance Dogs Ireland trains and places specially matched assistance dogs with autistic children and their families across Ireland. The charity receives no government funding, and it costs €25,000 to train just one assistance dog, so if they were to get one euro from 25,000 individuals they would then have enough to say ‘Yes’ to one more family this year. For the month of October AADI are running two fundraisers, which they would love you to get involved in. The first is an 80k challenge for the month of October, which is about 3k a day till the end of the month and their ‘Howl-O-Ween’ campaign invites schools and workplaces across Ireland to host a dress- up day to raise vital funds for life-changing autism assistance dogs. Adrianne speaks with Erin McEveney, Fundraising Co-Ordinator with AADI who explains the fundraisings campaigns and how you can help them achieve their goal. Go to www.idonate.ie/event/Howl-O-Ween and you will receive a free activity booklet and earn a certificate of completion for taking part in the charity’s Autumn campaign.
