Motor Neurone Disease is a progressive neurological condition that attacks the motor neurones in the brain and spinal cord. This means messages gradually stop reaching the muscles, which affect speech and movement. Kevin Burn, CEO of IMNDA, Irish Motor Neuron Disease Association, speaks here to Adrianne about the disease and the various supports and services that the IMNDA offer both the patients and their family members. Kevin also talks about their upcoming fundraising events, and in particular the Afternoon Tea that takes place in Powerscourt House on 29th March, and which promises to be a fun day with beautiful food, music and song in gorgeous surroundings and will celebrate IMNDA’s 40th Anniversary while raising much needed funds.
