Urgent reforms of how the aviation industry treats disabled passengers are being called for by Irish advocacy organisations, Vision Ireland and The Wayfinding Centre. Adrianne speaks with Kevin Kelly, Head of Policy, Partnerships and External Affairs at Vision Ireland about the difficulties disabled passengers come up against, from non-accessible websites for booking or checking in to damaged wheelchairs and inadequate or untrained boarding assistants. Kevin states that “the Irish aviation experience needs urgent reform, and training is one of the easiest wins the industry can implement right now.” For information on how The Wayfinding Centre can help you or to put forward your own experiences while travelling then go to www.thewayfindingcentre.ie or contact them at info@wayfindingcentre.ie
