A Palestinian farming organisation, called the Union of Agriculture Work Committees UAWC, issued a call for solidarity wanting fellow farmers from the global peasant farmer movement, La Via Campesina, to come and see the “severe and critical conditions” on the ground in the West Bank in Palestine. Journalist and Eco Farmer, Ollie Moore from Tipperary took up the call. Ollie is a member of Talamh Beo an organisation working towards eco-friendly and fair farming for all. Here Ollie tells Adrianne about his experience in Palestine and the horrors he saw with roadblocks everywhere making it virtually impossible to get around, crops destroyed by military and the children stuck in the middle of this nightmare. He also speaks of the resilience of these people and the kindness he encountered by the Palestinians.
