There has been a Gay Pride parade in Dublin since 1994. This parade is now known as the Dublin Pride because Pride parades now take place at various times of the year in many towns around the country. They are celebrations of the LGBTQ+ community, but everyone is welcome to the party and here in Roscommon it is not just a parade but a whole weekend of fun activities for all the family. The second Roscommon Pride’s LGBTQ+ festival takes place from 22-24 August, and it promises to be a jam-packed line up of events. Organisers William & Barry joined Adrianne in the studio for a chat and to tell us what’s in store for the weekend.
