Hello and welcome to the very first episode of the strange tales podcast here we will look at the weird and wonderful tales from history, true crime, conspiracy’s and much more. I will try to cover various topics from different eras hopefully we can take a journey through history together. In our first episode we will go back to World War 2 where we discuss a rogue, a scoundrel, a criminal, a womanizer, spy and double agent that is Eddie Chapman. During the Second World War he offered his services to Nazi Germany as a spy to avoid a 20 year prison sentence on mainland Britain and subsequently became a British double agent saving countless lives. His British Secret Service handlers code-named him Agent Zigzag in acknowledgement of his rather erratic personal history.
