This week we're taking a look at the very influential post-punk, jangle pop band The Smiths. They released 4 untouchable chart-topping albums before their untimely departure, and wherein they would be embroiled in a royalties lawsuit that would further divide them. We have frontman and singer Morrissey, guitarist Johnny Marr, bassist Andy Rourke, and drummer Mike Joyce. There was no shortage of controversy when it came to The Smiths, due impart to the eccentric Morrissey. Join me as we look at their humble beginnings, their rise to fame, the messy lawsuit, and where they are now.
