Description

The Woodstock music and arts festival held in New York for 3 incredible days in 1969 has gone down in infamy as one of the greatest concerts of all time. You have legends like Jimi Hendrix, Janis Joplin, the Grateful Dead, The Who, and plenty more bands that signed on to perform for a massive crowd of half a million people all crammed into a dairy farm playing on a half finished stage. The atmosphere was unlike anything that has ever happened. And for a brief moment in time, everyone forgot their problems and enjoyed being unified by music. Join me today as I discuss how Woodstock came to be, the issues that arose, who played and who declined to perform, and much more.
