- If you don't want a job then Java, which is still taught in most Engineering colleges.
- But there are so many Java people out their that it is difficult to get job in India.
- Everything turned in web-app during the past 10 years and from facebook to google to netflix everything have frontend written in a JS framework.
- Java is still used at lot of places to write backend code, but is limited to big projects.
- Startups mainly favors NodeJS for backend because it is again JavaScript framework. And they like people who are Full Stack JS developers.
- Startups and Medium projects like to work on the MERN stack. With this they can get a MVP out in no time.
- Slowly once the startup become big, it adds more stacks to the product. But generally they ramp up their devops, to make the web-app fast and scale.
