In "Lilly, On Hope & Trust" I investigate the complicated origins and history of hope in my psyche and deconstruct the word in order to rebuild something else in its place (trust) that works better for who I'm working to become. This exploration touches on hope, expectations, God/Source, religion, literary theory, my relationship with my brother, pathological positivity, my dating life, mental illness into mental health, accountability, and self-trust. Throughout the episode I refer to the below books and movies: The Bible, The Subtle Art of Not Giving A F*ck by Mark Manson (book), Friends with Benefits (movie), and An Ember in the Ashes by Sabaa Tahir (book series) Thank you for being here.
