Gal 5:1 “Stand fast therefore in the liberty by which Christ has made us free, and do not be entangled again with a yoke of bondage.” Paul told the Galatians in the text “do not be entangled again with the yoke of bondage!”
We all understand Entanglements that causes yokes of bondage!
• Some of us were entangled in relationships that had us in bondage.
• Some of us were entangled in a business, a job, a situation that had us so messed up, so stressed out, we didn’t know to do.
But when we turned that thing over to Jesus, and trusted in him to bring us out and to bring us through; that’s when we started to experience the Liberty that only Jesus can give us. And like the text said: “do not be entangled again”, what he is saying is don’t go back!
Don’t go back - to the thing I delivered you from.
Don’t go back - to a situation you know will put you in bondage.
Don’t go back – to a place that I delivered you out of.
Jesus said, “I came to set you free, and when I set you free you are FREE IN DEED!”
I don’t know who I am talking to this morning.
• If you are entangled in something that has a yoke on you
• Something that has you in bondage
• Something that’s holding you up
• Something that’s hold you back
I come to tell you this that Jesus has put you in a position to Declare your Independence and release you from that thing that has you bond. All you have to do is come to him just as you are. Don’t try to change or fix it anything. He is standing by waiting for you. Amen!
