Psalms 56:4 “In God I will praise his word, In God I put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” One of the most powerful spirits known to man is the spirit of fear. That’s why Paul said in 2 Tim 1:7 “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” Paul understood that fear starts in the mind.
Let me give you 4 things that fear does:
• Fear will keep you up all through the night
• Fear will rob you of your peace and your joy
• Fear will paralyze you and hold you hostage
• Fear will bring stress and sickness to your mind and body
The enemy uses our fear as a weapon against us. But thanks be to God, who said in Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon that is formed against you shall prosper; every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn.…” David came to understand something when he was hiding out in a cave, he said, “In God I will praise his word, In God I put my trust; I will not fear what flesh can do unto me.” He realized that fear is nothing but False Evidence Appearing Real, and he decided to not let fear hold him hostage. When the enemy tries to use your fear against you, start praising God and trusting in his word. Amen!
