The conscious mind is the part of the mind that is aware and awaken. Paul in the book of Romans 7:23 identities the Battle that takes place between the flesh (our five senses) and the mind. The flesh wants what it wants even if it may lead us to sin, while our conscious is trying to get us to do the right thing. Therefore a battle ensues over our will. The question is, who are we going to listen too? The desire of the flesh or the will of God.
