I Jn 3:20 “For if our heart condemn us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.” The enemy will uses our guilt to get an advantage on us. Our guilt will withhold blessings that God has prepared for us. Our guilt will create mental, emotional, and spiritual depression and anxiety. These are the weapons the enemy uses against us. That’s why the text reminds us that if our heart condemns us that God is greater than our heart. He looks at us the same way a parent looks at a child: You messed up - but your still my child, you were hard headed and didn’t listen - but your still my child. God’s love for you is greater than any guilt you are feeling. We need to forgive ourselves…God has!
