Now the word of the Lord came to Jonah the SECOND TIME, saying, “Arise, go to Nineveh, that great city, and preach to it the message that I tell you.” Jonah 3:1-2 NKJV.
God told Jonah, an Old Testament Evangelist, to go to Nineveh. Jonah arose and went to Tarshish. Instead of doing what God told him to do, he did what he wanted to do, and ended up inside the belly of a whale. God is now telling him a second time to go to Nineveh. If God has to tell us something, show us something, or give us something a second time, He is giving us a second chance. Thank God for second chances….I have needed many in my life. Those second chances that we are given are a demonstration of God’s grace and mercy. Today’s Prayer:
“Lord, I woke up this morning with a SECOND CHANCE. Not to run from what I need to do, but to move in the direction of what you called me to do. A chance to talk to some people I need to talk to. A chance to work on my relationships and myself. Thank you Lord for my second chance. In Jesus name.” Amen!
