Welcome to this new episode of The Teacher’s Mirror, brought to you by the Licenciatura in Bilingualism with emphasis on English Language from the Universidad Tecnológica de Pereira, from Pereira, Colombia. In this episode, we will be talking about challenges in assessment and evaluation during the teaching practicum. These questions will be discussed along this podcast:
Is it better to apply summative or formative types of assessment?
Which is the most challenging skill to assess in a public school setting?
Is it feasible to evaluate speaking in such context?
Two pre-service teachers will be discussing about these questions based on their experience in a Colombian public school.
