When I wash by hand in the sink, I seal the drain with the plug so that the water stays in the sink. At the same time, we have well-sealed windows and doors so that no water enters and causes damage in the event of heavy rain. This is logical for us: in the first case, the water should stay in, in the second, we want it outside. Hypothetically assumed: From the water's point of view, it could say to me: what do you actually want? Should I be inside with you or are you going to lock me out? Can you please make up your mind? We would then probably be confused because we wouldn't have this binary view. Let's be honest: sometimes we feel the same way about people: we don't understand them and interpret their behaviour as contradictory. Perhaps the water comparison will help you to accept that other people sometimes feel differently and are different and not contradictory in the way we think they are.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
