In my view, acceptance is not to be equated with tolerance. For me, acceptance has much more the character of a conscious decision. A decision in the direction of saying yes to something or accepting something that I would actually like to have differently or wish for differently. Nevertheless, I don't hold on to my preference, but allow myself to accept - with a conscious decision - something that I wouldn't choose on my own. Of course, this can turn into tolerance, but for me acceptance primarily means: I do not let myself be guided primarily by my emotions and my inclination, but open myself up to other influencing factors. In this way I also consciously say no to an inner bitterness or denial. I give up my supposed right to resist and open myself to the unwanted. Maybe it is your turn to make such a conscious decision - with regard to a situation, circumstances or persons.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
