Description

Many a kilo of charcoal is burnt during the barbecue season - and what remains is ash. In other combustion processes, too, what is left over is sometimes ash. From funerals we also know the saying "ashes to ashes" - this in the sense: we come from this world and in the end return to it as living beings with an expiry date as dead matter. But is ash all that remains of us? I think not. I find the following comparison helpful: If I burn a book, only ashes remain in the end. But with the burning, only the material of the book is gone, the story, the content remains. I think this also applies to our lives: even when it ends, we remain. We have this eternal character within us. Eternity belongs to our DNA as creatures, as consciously created beings. Does this perspective encourage you or rather frighten you? And depending on the answer: why?

I wish you an extraordinary day!
