Depending on the situation, circumstances, encounters or other things trigger deep memories of my childhood. I use the term associations for this - a kind of link between the immediate experience and memories from the past. However, by definition, an association is a group of people who have come together for a specific purpose. That makes sense, but I use the term in a different way. For me, they are an indication of how strongly I am subject to the dimension of time on the one hand - i.e. as a person, I can only physically move in one direction in time and only ever with the same factor - on the other hand, they show me that my spirit is able to overcome this dimension and that time is therefore not absolute for my comprehensive life. The idea of eternity comes closer and that it is very likely to continue after this life. At least that's what I associate with my experiences.
