During the pandemic period, many business meetings no longer took place physically and on site, but virtually and online. The necessary software ran on the computer and if the camera was set, it showed the camera image to all participants during the meeting - this was usually the relevant person taking part in the conversation. Many programmes offer the possibility to define a free background - that is, to replace the real background with any background, such as a photo or a landscape. This then sometimes looks as if you are taking part in the meeting from the sea or the mountains, etc. It is amazingly real in parts - but especially with water pictures you can see that it is just a static picture. A closer look reveals the truth. What about you: do you show what is real or do you like to use pictures that show something different, better than what is real, to put yourself in a better light?
