Anyone building a house is looking for a suitable location. Apart from the financial possibilities, the water supply is an important point. So what could be more obvious than to look for a site as close as possible to a river - perhaps even on its banks. This has many advantages: the necessary water can be used for hydropower, drinking water, irrigation of the cultivated land, etc. without long transport routes or other expenses. So ideal. But... depending on the catchment area of the river, such a location also harbours dangers - namely if the river suddenly carries an enormous amount of water and floods occur. A good balance between convenience and risk is therefore necessary here. What at first sight seems to be very pleasant and easy, may harbour some dangers. Wisdom and sober reflection are helpful here. Perhaps an impulse for you in a current decision-making process.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
