Description

Did you know that the term carafe originally comes from Arabic? The beautiful vessel that usually stands on the table and offers water to guests originally means "water-lifting wheel with scoops". I was very surprised when I read that. But actually it fits very well: the carafe offers the vital element of water to the thirsty. After all, water doesn't just naturally flow everywhere on every corner or, as we are used to, from a tap or well without human intervention. And the water-lifting wheel with shovels, in this sense, transports the water from its original environment and offers it with the shovels to those in need. Why not rejoice today and be grateful that we live in an environment where most of the necessities of life are just so accessible to us - like a simple carafe of water on the dining table.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
