Description

Most of us know prisons from films or news reports. When I think of prison, I see barren rooms with small barred windows. The only thing that separates a prisoner from freedom is a bit of iron and brickwork. But this is so strong that freedom, although so close, is not accessible. Even if the vast majority of us are not outwardly imprisoned, we still know inner prisons: for example, painful experiences, fears, addictions or other negative emotions or bad relationships. Sometimes freedom would be so close, analogous to the physical prison, but the invisible brickwork so solid. When Jesus revealed himself to the world, he did so by quoting from the writings of the prophet Isaiah where it says that he sets the captives free. I believe that this is still possible and valid today, if one takes up the offer. Then freedom is no further away than a prayer.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
