Because I am fascinated by watches, I look at different models from time to time and marvel at the way they are made, their appearance, the functions and details, etc. I notice that the different types have names borrowed from other languages. A stopwatch is often called a chronometer - in reference to the term chronos, which comes from the Greek and means time. Meter also comes from the Greek and means as much as measure or measure - we know this from many other combinations of terms such as gonometer for angle measurement or thermometer, etc. Of course, all these terms could be translated literally or almost literally into English - but it is not uncommon to keep the original foreign-language terms. A hint for me for this episode: not everything always has to be new and unique - it is also quite good to fall back on the existing, the tried and tested. Maybe that's what you need to do today.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
