Have you already thought about ethical behaviour? About demands on others and on yourself? The fact is that none of us leads a flawless life - we fail in our thoughts alone. One of these catalogues of standards can be found in the Sermon on the Mount in the New Testament. Jesus sets out the standards for a righteous lifestyle that apply before God. But none of us can live up to these standards. So what does that mean? Turn away in frustration? No. I see it like this: I take a super powerful engine as a comparison - but in a shaky, rotten vehicle. You can't utilise the engine power, you have to reduce it to match the quality of the vehicle, otherwise the engine and vehicle will break down. Analogue to us: our mind and will agree with the formulated demands - but our body and life are not able to implement them. That is why there is forgiveness and always the grace of a new beginning.
