Maybe you are one of those people who are dog owners. If so, your pet will certainly have a collar. As a layman, I would say that it is used to control the animal. In other words, to put it on a leash and thus guide the dog and restrict its range of movement. But why is it a collar and not a body garment? I think it's similar to a snake: if you want to catch it and lead it or protect yourself from it, you have to grab it where it could be most dangerous. Not directly by the fangs, of course, but very close - so that the animal can't use them against you. If we notice unpleasant behaviour patterns that harm others and perhaps ourselves, then it is also good to address and tackle them as directly as possible and not to beat about the bush. The more directly they are addressed, the faster the healing process can take place.
