Minimising effort with minimum drag is the aim of progress. This can be seen in Formula 1 cars: their shape and exterior is chosen so low that they experience as little air resistance as possible at their high speeds and therefore travel as quickly as possible with the lowest possible fuel consumption. In sailing, it's exactly the opposite: here you deliberately seek out the air resistance, the wind that gives you the drive to move forwards. For me, this contrast has a strong pictorial quality: on the road, the path made by man, he endeavours to reach his goals by means of his own propulsion. In creation, on the water, he seeks the driving force that he cannot control and co-operates with it instead of fighting against it. In the Bible, the wind symbolises the Holy Spirit. In this comparison: Do you allow yourself to be led by God's spirit and in His environment or do you follow your own self-made paths under your own steam?
I wish you an extraordinary day!
