We know the expression that something is memorable or we imprint something - by this we mean: we remember something that we can recall later. The imagery behind this is: you have a mass, clay or stone, and with an appropriate tool you work it and imprint an image or text into this material. This is much more durable than sticking the image or text onto the material. Embossing - as with coins - guarantees that what has been embossed will be preserved until the end of the wearer's life. Unfortunately, my memory is not that stable. But I still have memories from over 50 years that have stuck with me. If you work the surface of an embossing with sandpaper, you can make the embossing disappear, unfortunately. It seems to me that the flood of information and the spirit of the times are also like that: they grind important imprints out of us and our society. Do you know this? Do you do something against it so that the good imprints remain?
I wish you an extraordinary day!
