It won't be long now and then the months will come when the days are also shorter. I like to light a candle then. In Advent anyway. And when you look at a burning candle, you can see the flame. Just like when you look into a burning fire. What I find special is that you see the flame, but if you were to reach into it, you wouldn't really find anything physically tangible. With water vapour, which you can also see, at least the vapour condenses, but with a flame - I suppose - there is nothing but the heat that we burn ourselves on. It is something visible but not tangible. We can testify with our eyes that we see it and yet we cannot touch it or pass it on. Each one of us has to see it for ourselves. In Christianity, God is compared to a fire consisting of three flames. I can now understand this well when looking at the candle flame. He can only be experienced individually.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
