In canals or artificial river courses, there are so-called flotsam rakes here and there. These are vertical iron bars placed in the canal at a rather narrow distance, which catch the flotsam floating in the water. When there has been heavy rain or thunderstorms, there is quite a lot of such flotsam. This means that the rake has to be cleaned relatively quickly so that no flooding or similar mischief occurs. Now, one could say that such a rake is mainly an expense - why not just let the flotsam wash away? Because it could damage downstream infrastructure such as a turbine. So the rake - even if it is costly to maintain - has its good points and its purpose. Our soul and our spirit also need such rakes - and much more: regular or situational cleaning. Otherwise, as described, it can lead to greater damage. Do you clean your soul rake regularly and how do you do it?
I wish you an extraordinary day!
