Description

When you go to a museum or an older church, it is not uncommon to see, for example, a valuable, powerful and richly decorated chalice. This chalice alone is worth an enormous amount today. At that time, however, in addition to its functional significance, it was also an expression of the wealth or status of the owner or, in particular, of the contents that were consumed from the cup. Thus, communion cups were often richly decorated and of special manufacture and design. It was not the chalice that was special, but the contents of the chalice: the wine, which stood for the shed blood of Christ. The outside, the chalice, gave a special meaning to the inside, the wine. I believe we can also do this by outwardly signalling and expressing appreciation when we are with others and give undivided attention to our counterpart, for example.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
