Description

I recently bought an iceberg lettuce and a Cicorino Rosso. Both lettuces come in such a way that they have almost spherical-like their leaves around a core very close together and you can then peel off the individual leaves almost like you would peel off the layers of an onion and use them. That in and of itself is nothing exciting. But when I was loosening the leaves and preparing the salad, I noticed how close-fitting the individual leaves were and wondered how the growth was going. The leaves are so close together, how can the individual layers grow without friction or without interfering with each other? I still don't know - but what I am left with is amazement at nature and what it produces that is great and, for me, astonishing. A miracle in my salad bowl. So wonderful, in the middle of everyday life. Do you also have such everyday occurrences that a closer look leaves you in awe and admiration?

I wish you an extraordinary day!
