Do you recognise the following situation? You live in a neighbourhood and there is a neighbour. You meet him for the first time, then for the second time. You soon get the impression that this person is a bit special or strange. Perhaps he doesn't greet you and when he does, he does so very strangely or doesn't hold the door open for you, even though you are about to come to the door, etc. Every further encounter with this person confirms your impression of them. You start to talk about this person and how strange they are in your environment - and so this person becomes stranger and stranger to you. What is often forgotten in this perhaps amusing process is that it is not only my image of another person that becomes increasingly negative and distorted, but also my behaviour as a result. This phenomenon can also be applied to many other everyday situations. Perhaps it's time for a reality check?
I wish you an extraordinary day!
