If you had the choice between two different drinking tubes - which one would you choose? The completely straight one or another one that is twisted into itself? With the latter, the absorbed liquid takes much longer to travel from the glass to the mouth and it also takes much more pulling from the mouth to consume the drink. What would be your choice? I suspect that most people choose the gulped tube despite the greater effort involved. Why? Because it's more interesting. In our lives, there are sometimes winding paths and we don't always manage to get from the start straight to the finish. This sometimes causes us trouble, sometimes full of doubt or even hopelessness. Nevertheless, despite the winding paths, there is an achievable goal. The prayer of Asaph formulates it hopefully in a prayer in Psalm 73 as follows: "You, God, guide me according to your counsel and accept me with honour in the end." I wish you this confidence.
