When I talk about isohypses, not everyone knows what they are. If, on the other hand, I use contour lines, some will probably have more of an idea of what I mean. They are lines on a map that have the same altitude indication in nature. So if you walk strictly along a contour line, you walk level, that is, you don't change your altitude, you don't go up or down. If, on the other hand, you walk at right angles to the contour lines, you go up or down the steepest path. If contour lines are very close together on a map, this means steep terrain. There are also other iso-lines, for example isobars - lines with equal air pressure. Isos is Greek, meaning equal. One could also use iso-emotion lines: An indicator of balance. How would you feel at the moment: are you walking along or at right angles to such an emotion line? Remember that this is not the same and it takes much more energy depending on the situation.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
