Description

When I was a child, there were kiosks in very many places in the city. You could buy all kinds of things there: Newspapers, sweets, and weekly markets from the public transport season ticket. It was not uncommon for schoolchildren to buy a lollipop or chewing gum or the latest MickeyMouse magazine on their way home after school, if it was the day it was published. Today, there are only a few kiosks left in the city. You can still find them in train stations and sometimes in shopping centres. A pity, really. They were contact varieties. Today you can find more vending machines or take-aways for snacks, and you pay cashless with your mobile phone or credit card. And newspapers are read on smartphones. Convenient, perhaps, because they are available 24 hours a day. But also empty, because the mood of the salesperson is missing - whether stressed or happy. Perhaps a day to celebrate and rejoice in every eye contact that so happens in everyday life.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
