Description

I really enjoy a piece of grilled lamb. But when I see the lambs on the pasture, I am also overcome by a protective instinct and would like to take such a small animal and protect it. You can't do both: protect the animal and eat its meat, which means slaughtering it. Maybe that's why we say we don't eat lamb or anything else. The motivation lies in the fact that when we have established a personal relationship, a piece of meat is suddenly no longer just a part of the menu. But it's the same with coffee and the exploitation of coffee farmers or anything else. The personal connection influences our behaviour. But objectively it is irrelevant. Injustice is not justified by the fact that I lack the personal connection. None of us can therefore behave completely justly in this world. Guilty, therefore, we all become. How do you deal with this? In Jesus we are given a reconciliatory way out.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
