Description

What comes to mind when you hear the term lion? Is it the animal in the wild that you hope to see on a safari in the wild? Or is it the dull animal that nervously paces back and forth in its cramped cage in a city zoo as a caged animal? Or is it the symbolic figure in many a fairy tale who represents the brave, self-sacrificing patriarch who always ensures justice? There are so many ideas and images and ideals for which the lion has to serve. In the Bible, in the Old Testament, it is the tribe of Judah that is symbolised by a lion because of the fatherly blessing. In the New Testament, in the last book, Jesus is called a lion, a lion who overcame. I believe that a direct encounter with a lion inspires fear. Rightly so. This is also how all encounters are described in which the evil one confronts Jesus. Who is the victor is always clear. You better be on his side.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
