Description

Many decades ago, there was a campaign "Love is..." and then this sentence was continued in different variations. It always featured - as I interpreted it - a married couple (or today we would say lovers more neutrally) in a kind of comic strip form. The sayings were short and somehow simple, deliberately undifferentiated. For example: Love is... knowing that you always have your back - and then the cartoon male stood behind the cartoon female. Or: Love is... turning the other cheek - with the female comic holding out her cheek for the male comic to kiss. Somehow the sayings and comics had something light, almost not to be taken seriously, because they came across in a kind of ridiculous way. I thought or think: they are cute for those in love, but seem ridiculous to those who have difficulties with the statements. Love is... that's what I say today: stick with it, even or especially when it's difficult.

I wish you an extraordinary day!
