Do you remember: You were ill and the doctor gave you a therapy, for example medication. Why? To get rid of the illness - or to restore your health? Is there a difference here? Yes! The focus: do I look at the positive, the health, and the goal is to achieve it, or at the negative, the illness, and it should just go away? I am convinced this is a difference. It is the motivation. When we give each other feedback, even sometimes feedback that feels negative, the motivation is crucial: Am I simply criticising because something doesn't suit me or do I want to help because an unpleasant behaviour doesn't belong to that person and degrades them? I believe that the latter is the case with God: when he speaks of "sin" or such things, he does not want to condemn us, but to heal us, to bring us back to our proper, healthy state, like a good doctor.
I wish you an extraordinary day!
