What do you think is better? A mobile phone or a paper clip? Which would you choose? Probably the mobile phone. It is certainly more modern, can do much more, etc. But I still maintain that the paper clip will outlive or outlast the mobile phone. Did you know that the paper clip has been around for over 125 years, whereas the mobile phone has only been around for a few decades? The modern or most modern is not always the best. So many things have come onto the market in recent years, experienced a hype and quickly disappeared again. The Walkman or something else. But what remains is what has stood the test of time. This is obviously the case with the paper clip. The apostle Paul wrote to the church in Rome that endurance comes from patience and that endurance in turn strengthens hope. This is worth thinking about. Are there any areas of your life that require patience and probation? Then be hopeful and don't give up! The tried and tested will endure.
