Speculation and hope are not the same thing. Both are about an expectation that something that can only be influenced to a limited extent will happen. However, while speculation focuses on one's own ego, hope involves the humility of accepting that I am dependent on a higher power. Exposed to this, I hope that a good outcome will occur. That is much closer and more reconciliatory for me, and somewhere also more relieving. Because with speculation, I could accuse myself in the event of a non-occurrence. Paul writes in a letter to the church in Rome that hope can also arise from suffering through probation - but how? By having a reality present in our hearts that is not of this world. It is the love of God, or rather the certainty of being infinitely loved by him. This happens through the presence of the Holy Spirit in us, according to Paul. How beautiful!
I wish you an extraordinary day!
